KATE GARWOOD

Kate is a studio potter based in south Oxfordshire near Henley-on-Thames.  She works with stoneware creating wheel-thrown ceramics that are both beautiful and functional.  Although Kate uses many traditional oriental  glazes she interplay’s these with bright slips and sgraffito decoration. Kate’s work is distinctive in that there is always a part of the pot that is left raw revealing the natural beauty of the clay.
